Tiffany has been serving at Gabriel Network since 2011. After graduating from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Japanese, she worked for a Marketing Research Company in Philadelphia, PA and then spent the next 15 years as the High School Youth Minister at St. Pius X Church in Bowie, MD. During her time as a Youth Minister, she also owned a small organizing business called ‘Create Your Space’ and raised four children. She and her husband Brendan, along with their four children, live in Bowie and attend Sacred Heart Church.

Laura learned about Gabriel Network at a young age, when her family hosted several young women in her home and she gave up her room to make space for their guests. She is compassionate for the unborn and loves helping others. 

Laura graduated from Anne Arundel Community College with a degree in Interior Design. In addition to her role as Executive Assistant, she enjoys using her background in design through planning Gabriel Network events and various other work projects. Laura lives in Gambrills with her husband Jack and three sons, Lucas, Josiah, and Oliver.

JACQUELINE JOHNSON

Jacqueline Johnson is a child of God, living out the command to love Him with all her heart, soul, and mind and her neighbor as herself. She has served Moms and Babies for over 30 years, in various capacities at different organizations. She and Durce, her husband, have 3 adult children, 5 grandchildren and worship and serve together at Anacostia River Church in South East Washington, DC. When not working(they own three businesses) or serving their community, they enjoy mentoring married couples, playing Phase Ten, traveling, and eating at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurants.

MICHELLE WILLIAMS

Michelle has over 35 years’ professional experience working with Life Affirming organizations. She has a BA degree in Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, with over 20 years’ experience in program development & management, specifically with pregnancy support programs. Since the early years of the Gabriel Network, she has served on a few committees, and as a past Board member.  After retiring in 2021; God gave her the desires of her heart to mentor pregnant women by becoming an Angel Friend.  Shortly thereafter, He also provided another opportunity to serve as a Helpline Representative. She and her husband Vincent, reside in Bowie, Maryland, and are the very proud parents of 3 young adults (two who are married), and one grandson.  They worship and serve together in ministry at the New Canaan Baptist Church in Washington, DC, as facilitators of the Marriage Enrichment Ministry.  Michelle is also involved in other teaching ministries that support Women, Parents, and Children. She enjoys traveling and dining out with her husband, spending time with her family, and catching up with old friends.  In her spare time, she enjoys aquatic exercises, reading, studying, and watching old movies.

DAN MILLER

Dan Miller is our Church-Based Ministry Director. He leads our Church Ministry Team and helps our partnering church teams excel in their service to mothers and children. Dan grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and lives in Northeast Baltimore with his wife Michelle. Dan and Michelle have six children ranging from 19 to 4 years old. They also have been a foster home for over 5 years. Dan has been part of senior leadership for the last 15 years in the corporate world. Additionally, he assists churches as a consultant, preaches at churches, leads Bible studies, and teaches seminars. One of Dan’s greatest passions is coaching soccer which he has done for the last 20 years. He currently coaches a high school soccer team for Fellowship of Christian Athletes where all three of his boys participate. “Coach Dan” is passionate about excellence, development, and efficiency. He hopes to use his gifts and experience to serve God in Gabriel Network. His goal and primary focus are to expand, enrich, encourage, and empower our church teams so they can help mothers better understand their need for a better relationship with Jesus Christ.

Mary retired from the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services in 2011 after 30 years of service as a juvenile probation officer. Mary has been an Angel Friend since 2012 and the Gabriel Network Church Coordinator at Sacred Heart Church, Bowie, MD, since the fall of 2014. Mary lives in Bowie with her husband, Mark, and their daughter, Audrey. She enjoys reading, the beach, exercise and Zumba, and of course, serving and sharing God’s love with those less fortunate.

PHIL BENA

Phil Bena was a faculty member at Washington Bible College in Lanham, Maryland for 31 years. There he oversaw field education and served as Professor and Chairperson for their Department of Psychology and Counseling. He then served for 11 years as a Professor and Program Director for the Master of Arts and Master of Divinity Christian Care Programs at Capital Seminary and Graduate School. In addition to his higher education teaching and administration, he is an ordained minister and presently Executive Pastor at Grace Bible Church in Seabrook, Maryland where he has served since 1997. Phil has had an active speaking and music ministry to various churches, institutions, organizations and published four musical recordings. He previously served on the Advisory Boards for the Pregnancy
Clinics of Annapolis, Bowie/Crofton and Severna Park, Maryland and Eleutheria Christian Counseling and Care. Phil is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, has been married to his wife Brenda since 1978, they have three adult children, and two grandchildren.

Aletheia is a graduate of Capital Bible Seminary with an M.A. in Christian Counseling and Discipleship and a concentration in Youth and Family Counseling. She co-founded a counseling ministry and volunteers as a counselor at the Bowie/Crofton Pregnancy Clinic. Aletheia’s professional experience includes counseling/caregiving, office, and business management, project management, marketing, teaching, and entrepreneurship. Aletheia serves in the music and children’s ministries at Grace Bible Church where she and her family attend. She lives in Bowie, Maryland with her husband Nathaniel, their sons Brighton and Rhett and their fantastic dog Zero. She enjoys reading, music, cooking, the outdoors and quality time with family and friends.

JEANNIE PORTERFIELD

Jeannie holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Elon College (now University), and a Master’s degree in Business Information Systems from University of Maryland (Global Campus).  In 2009, God “promoted” her from her technology consulting career to the blessing of being a stay-at-home mom. During this season, God cultivated her heart for single moms. For the last 14 years, she has had the privilege of serving pregnant, single moms and their children through leading a transitional housing ministry. She also serves in children’s ministry and co-leads a women’s bible study.  Jeannie and her husband Dave have been married for 24 years, have 3 children, and 2 grandchildren.  They attend and serve at Greenridge Baptist Church in Boyds, MD. They enjoy time together with family and friends, working out, reading, and exploring new places.

SUSANNE KOHL-PARKER

Susanne has spent her career in support of those who are often marginalized by mainstream society. She has served organizations ranging from legal services to city government to a charter school for at-risk, drop-out youth, and many, many others.

Susanne has earned a Psy.D. from Breyer State University, an MA in Journalism from The Ohio State University, an MS in Administration from Central Michigan University and holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has realized her goal and has merged her passions with her vocation. For that reason, she has not “worked” in years but has pursued her dream … to make a real difference in the world because, “To the world you may be one person; but to one person you may be the world.” (Dr. Seuss)

SHARON LAURICH

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR

Sharon graduated from Frostburg State College with a B.S. Degree in Education. She also earned  a Master’s Degree in School Administration and Supervision from the University of Maryland. Before retiring from Prince George’s County Public Schools in 2014, Sharon spent 35 years teaching at-risk middle school students.

She has taught CCD, been a Youth Group Coordinator, and has been the Angel Tree and Vacation Bible School coordinator at her home parish of Sacred Heart in Bowie for 20 years. In 2017 Sharon began volunteering at the Gabriel Network. In 2019 she helped the Gabriel Network create a Baby Bottle Campaign Ministry to benefit mothers and babies at risk.
